Biography

Nico: Voice & Rhythm Guitar | Reste: Double Bass | Coach: Guitar | Paul the Batterist: Drums

The Frontline were born on summer 2003, in Crema (Italy), when Reste (as bassguitar player) and Coach met Nico, that became the voice of the trio; after few time Paul the Batterist became the drummer. When they started they played Hardcore/Punk, influenced by 80's HC and 77 PunkRock.

After one year the Rockabilly and Psychobilly sounds was heavier into the band, so they decided to use double bass and play this genre; the Frontline's sound is influenced by bands and artists like Meteors, Batmobile, Guana Batz, Frantic Flintstones, Krewmen, Cramps, Stray Cats, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent, Monsters, Reverend Beat-Man, Spamabilly Borghetti, Kim's Teddy Bears and Ennio Morricone; on stage the band often play old songs like: "Surfin' Bird" by Trashmen, "She Said" by Hasil Adkins and "Rockabilly Rebel" by Matchbox. The songs talk about the Hell, demons, graveyards, necrophily, maniacs, killers, Holy porks and nuns whiping, inspired by old horror movies, pulp and western Sergio Leone's films.

Since the beginning the band was supported by the Frontline Crew, a bunch of bastards who always followed our shows, making lots of noise, stopping everyone who tried to fuck with the band and helping us to let people know, expecially in this place, forgotten kinds of music such as Rockabilly, Psychobilly and the old Rock'n'Roll.

The Frontline played with important italian bands like the Legendary Kid Combo and the Karogn'a'billy. On 18th november 2006 the band opened the Bloody Moonlight #7, the last italian show for the legendary rockabilly trio, the Restless.

In may 2007 The Frontline split up.

We thanks Truffa that as made this website and The Frontline Crew for them support.
